Hello everyone, I am Apaar Dhangad, an aspiring actor. This is a mono-acting performance that I presented for the Anugoonj Prelims 2026, through which I was selected. The act follows a man strapped to a chair during an interrogation for a murder he has committed. The investigator repeatedly asks why he committed the crime, but he refuses to reveal the truth. During the interrogation, he begins seeing his daughter, which agitates him and leads him to confess. He talks about a girl who was his daughter’s friend and describes how he stalked her. He then recounts the events of the murder and explains why he committed it. However, he sees his daughter again, and the truth is revealed. The girl never existed and was a fabrication of his mind, created to suppress the fact that he had murdered his own daughter in a moment of rage over her shouting. Overwhelmed by guilt after realizing the truth, he kills the investigator and himself with the same knife. Thus, the story ends in tragedy. Thanks!
