I started learning Kathak from age 4. My journey in Kathak dance has been a path of discipline, expression, devotion, and continuous growth under the guidance of esteemed Gurus of the Jaipur Gharana, Smt. Monisa Nayak and Shri Sanjeet Gangani. I have completed my Alankaar (Master’s in Kathak) from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, which further deepened my understanding of its rich tradition, technique, and artistry. My submission is a Kathak-based dance recital in Dhamaar Taal (14 beats), performed to a composition sung by Shri Pramod Parihar ji. I aim to present Kathak not merely as a dance form, but as a living art that bridges generations, emotions, and culture. I intend to preserve and celebrate India’s artistic heritage while creating a meaningful and engaging experience for contemporary audiences. This submission reflects my passion, years of training, and commitment to Kathak as a medium of artistic expression and cultural identity.
